When to go
Dec - Mar
Driest months throughout the country. Rainy season begins in the Amazon until around June, where flooded jungle paths become accessible by boat. Carnival is in February in Barranquilla.
Sep - Nov
It's rainier on the Caribbean Coast, Coffee Region and Medellín. Dry season in the Amazon with fewer mosquitos and great wildlife spotting.. .
Apr - Jun
More frequent rain showers. March or April brings Semana Santa (Holy Week).
Jul - Aug
A mini-dry season throughout the country. Medellin's flower festival Feria de las Flores begins in August
