The Fifteen Keys Hotel

Boutique stay The Fifteen Keys Hotel is just the place to stir moving-to-Italy aspirations. Once a traditional townhouse, this city-centre stay has been beautifully remodelled into a cosy hotel with 15 stylish rooms, each decorated in shades of blue or grey with modern minimalist furnishings. Take your morning feast (and coffee, of course) outside in the leafy inner courtyard when weather allows. There are plenty of lovely local spots nearby (staff know ‘em all…), and drinks run from dusk till dawn in the 24-hour blue-toned bar.

The hotel is on via Urbana, just steps away from the Colosseum and the Roman Forum.

Single Light Room

These 20sq m rooms are for solo fliers and have large windows with views of the hotel’s leafy courtyard or Rome’s rooftops. Some of the rooms have exposed brick walls, and others have a private balcony; all have a French bed and a terracotta ensuite bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower and Malin+Goetz bath products (most of the bathrooms have a window too). Each room also has free WiFi, a TV, minibar, free bottled water, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.

Classic Light Room

These cosy and bright 20sq m rooms have large windows with views of the leafy hotel courtyard or Rome’s rooftops. Some have exposed brick ceilings, and others have a private balcony; all rooms have a double bed and a terracotta ensuite bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower and Malin+Goetz bath products (most of the bathrooms have a window too). This spacious and light-filled, (45sq m) top-floor suite has two rooms, both with access to the room’s private balcony, which has views over Rome’s rooftops. In the bedroom, there’s a super king-size bed, a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with a glass-walled, walk-in shower and twin sinks; the oak-floored living room has a velvet sofa and armchair.
