Parīlio Hotel Paros

The design at Parīlio Hotel Paros may be streamlined and meticulously thought-out, but your days here should be exactly the opposite. Because meandering in a timeless haze of sun, sea and swim is exactly what the Athens-based design team had in mind when they conceived this Parian paragon – relaxation par excellence. To help you further adjust to the island’s slow-as-molasses metronome, there’s the soul-soothing Asian spa, a light-filled restaurant called Mr E (get it?) and that enormous cross-shaped swimming pool, perfect for worshipping Helios, the Greek god of sunshine.

Parīlio is perched on the northeastern coast of Paros in the central Cyclades, just a 20-minute walk from the island’s most popular beach, Kolympithres, and a 10-minute drive from the twinkling town of Naoussa.

The light-filled 30sq m Aurora Suites are on either the first or ground floor – each sports its own sleek private outdoor terrace with comfy sunloungers, an outdoor dining table and views of the countryside and Kolymbithres bay. The celestial 40sq m Halo Suites are either on the ground or the first floor – each sports its own sleek private outdoor terrace with comfy sunloungers, an outdoor dining table and views of the swimming pool and the gardens. Inside, the bedroom has a seating area, a king-size bed and an Instagrammable wall hanging by cult Moroccan textiles brand LRNCE; the sprawling bathroom has a walk-in rainfall shower. The resplendent 40sq m Sun Suite is on the ground floor – you’ll have your own super-spacious private patio, a swimming pool big enough to swim luxuriant laps in, squishy sunloungers and an outdoor dining area with views of the countryside. Inside, the white-washed suite is heavy on the white-washed Cycladic look, with poured concrete, clean lines and warm sienna tones. The open-plan suite has a living area with a sofa bed, a king-size bed and an Instagrammable wall hanging by cult Moroccan textiles brand LRNCE; the ensuite bathroom has a rainfall shower.
