Locanda in Tuscany

Hidden away from the typical Tuscan stops, Locanda in Tuscany is a nine-room country charmer tucked into the rolling hills of the Val d’Orcia. Run by a Milanese couple, the hotel embraces its setting, with a relaxed pace and rooms positioned to take advantage of the bucolic views. Locanda’s secluded location doesn’t mean it’s isolated from Tuscany’s charms. Staff offer trail maps and itineraries for aspiring hikers, cyclists and architecture buffs. Nearby towns are renowned for wine and cheese, and the hotel restaurant takes full advantage with classic Tuscan dishes prepared with local bounty and paired with wines from down the road.

These three 60sq m suites are each unique in layout. One, on the first floor of the main building, has panoramic views throughout. The other two, both on the ground floor, are tucked in the gardens for added tranquility, and each have a freestanding soaking tub in the living room. Exclusive Use

Live out your Tuscan fantasy with a group of friends or your family by booking all nine rooms. Guests will have private use of the pool and all 700sq m of the property, and up to 24 can sleep here. Each of the nine rooms are charming with wood beams, locally crafted wood furnishings, tiled floors and rustic views, plus a king-size bed in each (can be twinned on request). Some have fireplaces or a bath tub in the room, too, and all have an ensuite bathroom, most with a walk-in shower. There's a living room, full kitchen and a patio for alfresco dining with a barbecue and outdoor fireplace.
