Petite Room

In La Clé Lodge, there’s a choice of two 35sq m Petite Rooms, both up in the eaves, separated by an intimate seating area. Book the two rooms together to create a private space for families and friends. Both include an ensuite bathroom with a shower and one has a separate bath tub, too. Refined interiors are by Jacques Erasmus and you’ll have the full run of the rest of the Cape Dutch house, including a fire-warmed lounge, communal kitchen and dining area, plus grounds that extend to a working vineyard, pool, terraces and tennis court – all with views of the Cape Winelands.

Garden Room

In La Clé Lodge, there’s a choice of two 40sq m Garden Rooms. Like all rooms in the Cape Dutch home, they have refined interiors by Jacques Erasmus and ensuite bathrooms. One offers a freestanding bath tub in the bedroom with a separate room for the double shower. The second bathroom offers a double shower and freestanding bath tub. These rooms have lofty ceilings lending a sense of space, and adjoining terraces offer views of the gardens, vineyards or mountains. Elsewhere in the Lodge, there’s a fire-warmed lounge, communal kitchen and dining area, plus grounds that extend to a working vineyard, pool, terraces and tennis court.

Courtyard Room

Completing the five ensuite bedrooms at La Clé Lodge is the 36sq m Courtyard Room. This large double room is the most opulent in the Cape Dutch house, with elegant interiors by Jacques Erasmus daubed in cosy, understated colours. The ensuite bathroom is especially opulent, including a freestanding bath tub and a walk-in shower. An adjoining terrace leads off to the gardens and grounds, around which you’ll find a working vineyard, pool, sun terraces and tennis court. Elsewhere in the Lodge, there’s also a fire-warmed lounge, communal kitchen and dining area.

Manoir (2 Bedroom Villa)

Grange (3 Bedroom Villa)

Book the Grange house all to yourself for up to six people. You’ll get use of all three bedrooms, plus the Grange’s communal lounge, library, terrace, extensive gardens and pool, without having to share it with anyone else.

Domain (4 Bedroom Villa)

Book the Domain house all to yourself for up to eight people. You’ll have private use of this colourful addition to the La Clé collection, with interiors that blend flavours of the Far East with North African accents, such as Moroccan tiles and animal-motif fabrics. As well as exclusive use of the bedrooms, your group will also have the run of spacious lounges, a large terrace, pool and ample gardens with mountain views.

Galerie (2 Bedroom Villa)

In La Clé Village, the Galerie is an exclusive-use 130sq m villa with two ensuite bedrooms and space for up to four people. Contemporary interiors showcase the owner's private art collection, especially in the main lounge and kitchen area, which is decked out with dark walls, contrasting bright curtains, velvet couches and a centrepiece fireplace. Double doors lead onto the villa’s private pool, terrace and gardens, from where there are blockbuster views of the Cape Winelands. Here, you’ll also find cushioned sunloungers, hammocks and extensive seating for drinking in Franschhoek life.
