Kambaku River Sands

Nestled on the Timbavati border of the Kruger National Park, this region is famous for its population of tawny lions, alongside sightings of cheetah, wild dogs, hippos, and even black and white rhinos. Kambaku's small, classic-contemporary lodge boasts locally-sourced timber, stone, and thatch structures, thoughtfully combining authentic South African artefacts with the colour palette of the surrounding wilderness. The communal area is raised on stilts to elevate its spectacular views and there's even a sunken wine cellar and bird hide. After a day in the bush, whether on foot or on a drive, head to the boma to dine or simply kick back in the spa or spacious viewing deck. In all, this lodge offers fantastic value for money, as it balances curated design and comfort with an outstanding game-viewing experience.
