On laidback Mexican hotspot Isla Holbox, Casa Muuch is an adults-only boutique hotel with just six rooms, which have a subtle bohemian look, some with their own plunge pool and sun-trap roof terrace. But, it’s the private-residence feel and beachside positioning that makes it extra special – the water is right there – making it a place where you can fully adopt the OOO mindset. Swim onsite, laze on the sand, or kayak into the gulf, and – if you've hired out the place exclusively – once you’ve worked up an appetite, call on house chef Joza to whip up delectable bites or man the barbecue (don't worry if you've just booked a room; you'll get breakfast and umpteen thatched eateries and beach clubs will also ensure you don’t go hungry otherwise). This casa has earnt its extra ‘u’, because we like it very mu(u)ch indeed.
