Brownber House

This homey farmhouse sits 50 metres away from Brownber Hall on the expansive country estate, surrounded by the lush scenery of the Howgill Fells and Yorkshire Dales National Park. It was built in 1860 as the farm manager’s residence and now it’s a perfectly private hideaway four groups of up to eight (two baby cots can also be added). There’s a welcoming living room with a log-burner, shaker-style kitchen (with a stove, large fridge, Belfast sink, and cookery kit) and an elegant dining room for meals of up to 10 with another log-burner. Each room has a super-king-size bed (some can be twinned) crafted by the local blacksmith, and two have views over the Howgill Fells. Two have an ensuite bathroom with a shower and there’s also a shared wet room with a shower and a large bathroom at the front of the house with a Fells-view picture window and freestanding reconstituted-stone bath tub. Plus there’s a flatscreen TV set up with Netflix and Amazon Prime, Bluetooth Marshall speakers, central heating, tea- and coffee-making kit, Bramley bath products, free WiFi and highchairs to borrow on request.
