Sleep practically on the beach at Casa Chakté in Tulum, which adds romantically rustic interiors, a family-friendly layout and a roof terrace with marvellous views to its scenic seaside mix. The three-bedroom hideaway comes equipped with all the necessary mod cons, plus a generous dash of born-in-Tulum style: picture lashings of wood, white and stone, all pepped up with green-and-aqua jungle-and-ocean views. Statement chairs and bespoke furniture add sartorial swagger to the relaxed design scheme, which sensibly places Mother Nature centre stage. This 202sq m three-bedroom casa sleeps six comfortably, but can fit eight with the use of extra beds. On the ground floor, there’s a large, open-plan living and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen (which has a central island), a wooden dining table and spacious lounge area. Floor-to-ceiling windows lead out to a private plunge pool and furnished sun deck with garden views; from here, it’s a matter of metres to the Caribbean sea. There are three bedrooms: one guest suite on the ground floor and the master and second guest suite upstairs. The oval-shaped master bedroom has a high pitched ceiling, a double bed, a Moroccan-style living area, private terrace with a sea view and a large ensuite bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower. Each of the guest suites has a double bed, a living area, private terrace and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The casa also a 35sq m roof terrace; a private beach area with sunloungers; free WiFi; a Nespresso coffee machine; air-conditioning; free bottled water and Lolita Lolita bath products.
